About 'My WilD Schoolyard'
Students going outside the school campus to learn, discover, create and celebrate the beauty of the natural world is ultimately lacking in the students due to very limited resources. At this juncture, we will give a new perspective to the schoolyard as a wildlife habitat. Enhancing the schoolyard with selected species of trees, plants which will attract more life. Through this project, i. the students and teachers will restructure their schoolyard to attract more life, ii. Record and maintain their own Student – School Biodiversity Register, and iii. Will be a model school in biodiversity conservation, which starts right in their schoolyard. Overall, overarching element of this project is the students’ involvement in and ownership of for their Schoolyard habitat. i. Structure the schoolyard into a wild schoolyard which will support more diversified life forms (plants and animal). The schoolyard will be enhanced into a Wildlife garden which will have 4 focal area
